Lux Radio Theater – Miracle on 34th Street {Maureen O’Hara, Edmond Gwynn}

Lux Radio Theatre presents MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET, starring Maureen O’Hara, John Payne and Edmund Gwenn.

Is Kris Kringle simply a kindly old gentleman working as Macy’s department-store Santa… or could he actually be the real Santa Claus?

Maureen O’Hara, John Payne and Edmund Gwenn recreate their roles from the beloved 1947 motion picture in this classic Lux Radio Theatre adaptation. Gwenn once again portrays Kris Kringle, the role that earned him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

The story begins amid the excitement of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and grows into one of the warmest and most enduring Christmas stories ever produced — a funny, touching defense of imagination, faith and believing in something simply because the world says you shouldn’t.

Lux Radio Theatre broadcast the story more than once; the famous 1948 presentation aired December 20, with O’Hara, Payne and Gwenn starring.

A B4TV Christmas Classic.
