Dick Tracy | Episode 018 – Mounties at Pitchblend | B4TV Radio Crime Theater

It’s time for another exciting episode of Dick Tracy!

Dick Tracy heads north to the Yukon, where a small mining town is being squeezed by a crook taking advantage of local uranium miners. With danger rising in the frozen territory, Tracy steps into a case of greed, intimidation, and frontier justice — with the Mounties close by and trouble waiting in the snow.

Step into the hard-boiled world of Dick Tracy, the square-jawed detective who brought comic-strip crimefighting to old-time radio with gangsters, gadgets, traps, kidnappings, secret clues, and enough cliffhangers to keep young listeners glued to the speaker.

Created by cartoonist Chester Gould, Dick Tracy first hit newspaper pages in 1931 before becoming one of radio’s best-known juvenile crime and detective adventures. The radio version ran in various forms from the 1930s into the late 1940s, moving across major networks and shifting between short daily serial chapters and longer adventure formats. It featured Tracy, Pat Patton, Junior Tracy, Tess Trueheart, and a parade of crooks who usually learned the hard way that crime does not pay — especially when Tracy is on the case.

On B4TV, we present Dick Tracy as part of our classic radio crime lineup: vintage detective action, fast-moving serial storytelling, and Golden Age radio atmosphere brought back for a new audience.

B4TV is presenting the series in order, beginning with the earliest available episodes and continuing through the full run from our archive. Whether you grew up with classic radio, comic-strip detectives, or just love a good vintage crime story, this is the kind of serial adventure that made listeners lean closer to the speaker.

Follow along as Dick Tracy, Pat Patton, Junior Tracy, Tess Trueheart, and a parade of dangerous villains bring comic-strip crimefighting into the world of old-time radio.

New episodes will be added as the series continues on B4TV.
