Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209 | Symphony of Death | B4TV Radio Detective Theater

💋🌉 A brilliant composer is losing his grip, his sister is frightened, and Candy Matson is asked to step into a case where music and madness are playing from the same score.

In Symphony of Death, Candy is hired by the sister of a troubled composer who fears something is terribly wrong. The case gives the series a darker, more psychological edge, with artistic pressure, family fear, and murder hanging over the music. Great Detectives identifies the episode with an original airdate of June 20, 1950, and OTRR’s Archive.org episode files list the same date.

Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209 stars Natalie Parks as Candy Matson, with Henry Leff as Lt. Ray Mallard and Jack Thomas as Rembrandt Watson. Created by Monty Masters, the series blends private-eye mystery, San Francisco atmosphere, quick dialogue, and one of the strongest female detective leads in old time radio.
