Cloak and Dagger – Episode 3 – The Brenner Pass Story

Cloak and Dagger | Classic WWII Espionage | Old Time Radio

There’s something different about wartime radio drama.

Cloak and Dagger isn’t a comic book spy story. It isn’t polished Hollywood espionage. This is World War II told through the tension, urgency, and atmosphere of 1940s radio — inspired by real Allied intelligence operations carried out behind enemy lines.

Originally broadcast as WWII was drawing to a close, this series brings you into the world of undercover agents, resistance networks, coded transmissions, sabotage missions, and the dangerous quiet work that rarely made the front page. These stories reflect the kind of operations that helped shape modern intelligence services, including the OSS — the forerunner of the CIA.

You’ll hear:
• Field radios crackling in the dark
• Whispered conversations in occupied cities
• Escape routes mapped in seconds
• Missions where one mistake changes everything

This is classic Old Time Radio at its most intense — serious, grounded, and driven by story rather than spectacle. If you’re a fan of WWII history, espionage, vintage radio drama, or the golden age of broadcasting, you’re going to feel right at home here.

We’re proud to present all available episodes of Cloak and Dagger as part of our continuing effort to preserve and share the power of classic radio storytelling.
