Lux Radio Theater

Step into Hollywood’s Golden Age with Lux Radio Theater — where the biggest movies, brightest stars, and greatest stories of the silver screen were recreated for radio audiences across America.

For more than two decades, Lux Radio Theater transformed celebrated motion pictures and stage productions into lavish hour-long radio dramas, often featuring the original stars returning to perform their famous roles. From romantic comedies and sweeping dramas to Christmas classics, literary adaptations, and unforgettable Hollywood favorites, Lux offered listeners something extraordinary: a night at the movies without ever leaving the living room.

On B4TV, Lux Radio Theater holds a marquee position within our Sunday Night “Great Storytelling” lineup — a night devoted to classic literature, legendary performances, powerful drama, and stories that deserve to be heard again. Every Sunday at 9:00 PM Eastern / 8:00 PM Central, Lux takes center stage as B4TV’s weekly journey back to the glamour, craftsmanship, and imagination of classic Hollywood radio.

Alongside programs such as The Theatre Guild on the Air, The Weird Circle, Radio City Playhouse, and CBS Radio Workshop, Lux represents exactly what Sunday nights on B4TV are about:

Great actors. Great writing. Great stories.
